Q: I’ve never shopped in a consignment store before. How does it work?
A: Just like any other store. Come in, take a look around and see what we have. Prices are marked on each item with a tag same as above. In the example, the Oak Table was originally priced at $126.00. The first 15% mark down will occur on 06/21/09 and the price will drop to $107.10. The second 15% mark-down will be on 07/21/09 and the price will drop to $90.72 and so on.
Q: Where does your merchandise come from?
A: From your friends, neighbors and the fine homes throughout greater Portland and the New England states. When people move, downsize, and redecorate their homes, they bring their cherished possessions to us for consignment. This is a great way to recycle, have some fun and make some cash. We have a team of experts, each with an area of specialty that price your merchandise at fair market value.
Q: Does the inventory change often?
A: Yes, it does. We’re constantly restocking with new merchandise, so the showroom changes weekly, and sometimes daily. Many customer shop with us numerous times a week so not to miss a great bargain.
Q: How are you different from a thrift store?
A: We only accept quality pieces. We are not interested in damaged items, or furniture that has been heavily used. Much of our merchandise looks and feels like it is still new, and all of it has been well-cared for. The values are incredible!
Q: Do you carry antiques?
A: Yes, we have many extraordinary antiques including; furniture, china, glassware, jewelry, persian rugs, and art. Antique dealers regularly shop here for great deals.
Q: If I see something I like, but don’t want to pay the price, will you take my name so I can get first dibs on it when the price drops?
A: No, but we will be happy to show you when the price will be marked down, and you are welcome to call or stop by then to see if it is still available. Reminder, our #1 comment is always, ” I should have bought it when I had the chance!”
Q: Do you offer warranties?
A: No, all sales are final, no returns. Please take your time and inspect items carefully when making a selection.
